Where Does It Hurt?
Tap a numbered area on the image or choose a location.

Teeth
Pain that feels localised to a tooth may relate to decay, a crack, the pulp inside the tooth, the gums or the bite. Examination separates these possibilities.
Understand Tooth Pain →Jaw Joint
Pain near the ear, painful clicking, locking or restricted opening deserves examination. Clicking alone does not establish a diagnosis.
Understand Jaw Symptoms →Jaw Muscles
Cheek or jaw soreness can overlap with clenching, grinding and other dental or facial-pain conditions. Mention morning symptoms and chewing discomfort.
Explore TMJ/TMD Care →Temple / Head
Temple discomfort can overlap with headache conditions, chewing-muscle tenderness or referred pain. The pattern matters more than the location alone.
Explore Orofacial Pain Consultation →Location is a clue, not a diagnosis. An examination can clarify the source.

Timing Matters
When Should You Seek Care?
Routine Dental Visit
Mild, stable sensitivity, a cosmetic concern or longstanding crowding can be discussed at a planned visit.
Urgent Dental Care
Contact a dentist promptly for severe or worsening pain, swelling, uncontrolled bleeding or a dental injury. A knocked-out permanent tooth needs immediate dental advice.
Immediate Medical Help
Difficulty breathing or swallowing, swelling around the eye or extensive mouth swelling: seek immediate hospital emergency care.
Do not wait for a clinic reply.
These examples do not diagnose symptoms. Read patient guidance on dental swelling.

Symptoms can overlap. Similar-looking problems may need different care, and not every concern requires treatment.
